  1. Make sure your grill is completely cool before you start.
  2. Smooth out any rusty spots, if applicable, and scuff the glossy surface with a light sanding. Wipe away any sanding residue.
  3. Wash your grill with soap and water and let it dry thoroughly.
  4. Using painter's tape, mask off any areas you don't want to paint.
  5. Place your grill over a drop cloth and shake the spray can vigorously. Shake often while you paint.
  6. Hold the can upright 10-16” from surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke.
  7. Apply two or more light coats a few minutes apart to avoid drips and runs.
  8. Spray paint will be dry to the touch in 30 minutes and to handle in 1-2 hours. Allow paint to dry for 1 hour before heating. You may recoat within 1 hour or after 48 hours.
