- Make sure your grill is completely cool before you start.
- Smooth out any rusty spots, if applicable, and scuff the glossy surface with a light sanding. Wipe away any sanding residue.
- Wash your grill with soap and water and let it dry thoroughly.
- Using painter's tape, mask off any areas you don't want to paint.
- Place your grill over a drop cloth and shake the spray can vigorously. Shake often while you paint.
- Hold the can upright 10-16” from surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke.
- Apply two or more light coats a few minutes apart to avoid drips and runs.
- Spray paint will be dry to the touch in 30 minutes and to handle in 1-2 hours. Allow paint to dry for 1 hour before heating. You may recoat within 1 hour or after 48 hours.
